Description	As a perfluoroalkane compound, fluorinated oil possesses characteristics such as low viscosity, high boiling point, and good biocompatibility, and is widely used as the continuous phase in oil-in-water droplets. More importantly, based on the principle of like dissolves like, fluorinated oil is immiscible with hydrocarbon compounds. Therefore, when used as the continuous phase, fluorinated oil can be used to prepare not only oil-in-water droplets but also fluorinated oil-in-acetonitrile, fluorinated oil-in-acetonitrile, fluorinated oil-in-DMF, and fluorinated oil-in-methanol droplets. Furthermore, since the droplet contents are insoluble in fluorinated oil, nearly 100% encapsulation efficiency of the droplet contents can be achieved.
Applications	Used as the continuous phase for oil-in-water droplets.
