The general-purpose microfluidic chip is a standardized platform designed to accommodate a wide range of conventional biological and fluidic experiments, making it a versatile tool for basic research. Matexcel provides high-quality, general-purpose microfluidic chips for life science research and drug development. Our versatile chips feature standardized interfaces and precision microchannel designs, making them compatible with mainstream sample injection and detection equipment and enabling rapid integration into a variety of experimental platforms.

Introduction to General-purpose Microfluidic Chips

Depending on the material, our products are divided into three main series: PDMS, glass, and plastic (COC, PMMA, PS, COP).

  • PDMS chips feature high light transmittance, excellent biocompatibility, and gas permeability, making them suitable for cell culture and observation.
  • Glass chips are resistant to high temperatures and organic solvents and offer superior optical properties, making them suitable for fluorescence detection and harsh chemical environments.
  • Plastic chips are suitable for mass production, are more cost-effective, and are ideal for single-use or high-throughput screening applications.

Based on channel geometry, our products can be categorized into two main types: straight-channel and branched-channel.

  • Straight-channel microfluidic chips feature a simple structure and high flow stability, making them suitable for fundamental fluid behavior research, cell shear stress application, and drug elution experiments.
  • Branched-channel microfluidic chips enable controlled fluid branching and mixing, making them suitable for complex experimental scenarios such as concentration gradient generation, multi-channel sample distribution, and the construction of biomimetic vascular networks.

Product Features

  • Plug-and-Play: Standardized interface design allows for immediate use out of the box, enabling rapid integration into existing experimental platforms without the need for complex tubing or custom fixtures.
  • Multiple Options: We offer a variety of standard flow channel libraries, including Y-shaped, cross-shaped, and straight-channel designs, to accommodate common microfluidic applications.
  • Choice of Materials: Supports a variety of materials including PMMA, COC/COP, PDMS, PS, and PC to meet diverse requirements such as light transmission, pressure resistance, and chemical resistance.
  • Mass Production: Leveraging mature molds and cleanroom production lines, we achieve stable batch delivery ranging from prototypes to millions of units per year.
  • User-customizable Microfluidic Patterns: We accept client-provided drawings for rapid customization of flow channel structures, which can be transferred directly to mass production after validation.

The general-purpose microfluidic chips manufactured by Matexcel feature a simple structure, standardized design, and ease of use. Depending on their needs, clients can choose chips made from different substrate materials, as well as select from embedded, open, or hybrid chip configurations.
