| Product Name | Glass Pipettes |
| Catalog Number | MC-CSU-015 |
| Description | Glass pipettes, as used here, specifically refer to precision glass pipettes and micro-capillary tubes used in microfluidic experiments. They are not merely simple tools for liquid transfer, but rather critical interface consumables for precise fluid manipulation, interface connections, and sample introduction in micro- and nanofabrication and microfluidic chip operations. Compared to traditional plastic pipette tips, glass pipettes are made of borosilicate glass, which possesses extremely high chemical inertness. They can withstand strong acids, strong alkalis, organic solvents, and high-temperature, high-pressure sterilization without leaching contaminants, ensuring sample purity. Their excellent optical transparency facilitates observation of the liquid level, bubbles, and sample condition within the tube. By heating and drawing the glass using a drawing machine, capillaries with extremely fine tips (down to the micrometer level) and uniform shapes can be produced. These are used for sub-micron or even nanoscale precision injection, aspiration, or stimulation of the inlet ports, microchannels, or specific areas of microfluidic chips under a microscope. |
| Applications | Microfluidic chip operation and interfacing; microinjection and electrophysiology; sample collection and transfer; as an injection capillary for micro-reactors or capillary electrophoresis. |
