Description As non-porous spherical particles, solid silica microspheres feature an extremely narrow particle size distribution, excellent mechanical strength, and good chemical stability. The solid silica microspheres we offer are available in a particle size range of 0.02-30 μm. Nanoscale monodisperse silica microspheres are favored for their small particle size, large specific surface area, and excellent biocompatibility, as well as their unique properties such as surface-interface effects, small-size effects, and quantum size effects. Micron-scale silica microspheres, on the other hand, are more suitable for large-scale industrial applications due to their higher mechanical strength, excellent wear resistance, and ease of handling.
Applications Used in drug purification, microscopy, cytometry, filtration analysis, self-assembly of optical microspheres, hydrodynamic studies, photonic crystal film formation, instrument calibration, and other fields.
