| Description | Rotavirus is a major etiological agent of diarrheal disease in humans, mammals, and birds. Primary sources of rotavirus infection include patients with rotavirus gastroenteritis and asymptomatic carriers. Transmission occurs mainly via the fecal‑oral route, as well as through person‑to‑person contact; contaminated food and water may also serve as transmission vehicles. Following infection, patients typically present with fever, vomiting, abdominal pain, and diarrhea. The magnetic beads in this product are covalently conjugated with mouse anti‑rotavirus monoclonal antibodies, enabling efficient, rapid, and selective isolation and concentration of rotavirus. Pre‑enriched samples are incubated with magnetic beads coated with mouse anti‑rotavirus monoclonal antibodies. After magnetic separation, the enriched samples can be used for downstream detection methods including immunochromatography, ELISA, PCR, biosensing, and gene sequencing. |
