| Description | Rosiglitazone@LNP is a drug delivery system formed by encapsulating rosiglitazone in lipid nanoparticles (LNP). As a thiazolidinedione drug, rosiglitazone is commonly used in the treatment of type 2 diabetes. It can increase insulin sensitivity and assist in controlling blood sugar levels. It can be used as a single drug or in combination with metformin and sulfonylurea drugs. Lipid nanoparticles are generally composed of ionizable cationic lipids, phospholipids, cholesterol and PEGylated lipids. Ionizable cationic lipids are positively charged under specific pH conditions and combine with negatively charged rosiglitazone through electrostatic interaction to stably package it; phospholipids participate in building the membrane structure of LNP; cholesterol helps maintain the stability and fluidity of LNP; PEGylated lipids prevent LNP aggregation and extend its circulation time in the body. This complex can protect rosiglitazone from degradation, enhance drug stability, and improve its delivery efficiency, helping the drug cross biological barriers and accurately reach target cells. It has potential application value in the field of diabetes treatment. |
