| Catalog Number | VGF-004 |
| Size | 2µg;10µg;1mg |
| Description | Vascular Endothelial Growth Factor (VEGF) is an important signaling protein involved in angiogenesis and vasculogenesis. As the name suggests, VEGF’s activity has primarily been studied in vascular endothelial cells, but it also affects other cell types (such as stimulating the migration of monocytes/macrophages, neurons, cancer cells, and renal epithelial cells). VEGF mediates increased vascular permeability, induces angiogenesis, vascular formation, and endothelial cell growth, promotes cell migration, and inhibits apoptosis. In vitro experiments have shown that VEGF stimulates endothelial cell mitosis and cell migration. VEGF is also a vasodilator that increases microvascular permeability; it was originally referred to as a vascular permeability factor. |
| Application | This product can be used for research on facilitating murine angiogenesis studies with mouse VEGF 121 a.a. isoform. |
