| Catalog Number | EGF-009 |
| Size | 100µg;0.5mg;1mg |
| Description | Epidermal growth factor (EGF) has a significant influence on the differentiation of specific cells in vivo and is a potent mitogen for cultured cells of various ectodermal and mesodermal origins. The EGF precursor is considered a membrane-bound molecule that, upon cleavage by proteases, yields a 53-amino acid peptide hormone capable of stimulating cell division. EGF stimulates the growth of various epidermal and epithelial tissues both in vivo and in vitro, and promotes the growth of certain fibroblasts in cell culture. |
| Application | This product can be used for research on supporting murine epithelial regeneration in tissue engineering with mouse EGF. |
| Molecular Weight | 6 kDa |
| Species | Mouse |
| Source | E.coli |
| Appearance | Sterile-filtered white lyophilized powder |
| Purity | ≥ 98% by SDS-PAGE, RP-HPLC |
| Activity | This activity was determined by dose-dependent proliferation of mouse BALB/c 3T3 cells and is typically less than 0.1 ng/mL. |
| Redissolution | It is recommended to reconstitute lyophilized epidermal growth factor with sterile 18 MΩ-cm H₂O to a concentration of at least 100 µg/mL, after which it can be further diluted into other aqueous solutions. |
| Formulation | This protein was lyophilized without the addition of any additives. |
