| Catalog Number | VGF-002 |
| Size | 5µg;20µg;1mg |
| Description | Endocrine-derived vascular endothelial growth factor (EG-VEGF) induces proliferation, migration, and fenestration in endocrine-derived capillary endothelial cells. Its expression is hypoxia-induced and is restricted to steroid-producing glands (ovaries, testes, adrenal glands, and placenta). Its expression is often complementary to that of VEGF, suggesting that these molecules act in a coordinated manner. EG-VEGF potently contracts gastrointestinal smooth muscle. It induces proliferation, migration, and fenestration (i.e., the formation of membrane discontinuities) in endocrine-derived capillary endothelial cells. It has little effect on other types of endothelial and non-endothelial cells. |
| Application | This product can be used for research on supporting murine endocrine vascular studies with mouse EG-VEGF. |
| Molecular Weight | 9.6 kDa |
| Species | Mouse |
| Source | E.coli |
| Appearance | Sterile-filtered white lyophilized powder |
| Purity | ≥ 95% by SDS-PAGE, RP-HPLC |
| Redissolution | It is recommended to reconstitute the lyophilized endocrine gland vascular endothelial growth factor with sterile 18 MΩ-cm H₂O to a concentration of at least 100 µg/mL, after which it may be further diluted into other aqueous solutions. |
| Formulation | The concentrated solution (PBS, pH 7.4, containing 3% trehalose) was filtered through a 0.2 µm filter membrane and then lyophilized. |

| Storage | Store at room temperature for 3 weeks, or in a dry environment at -18°C or below. After reconstitution, store at 4°C for 2-7 days; thereafter, store at -18°C or below for future use. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles. |
