| Catalog Number | FGF-010 |
| Size | 10µg;50µg;1mg |
| Description | Acidic fibroblast growth factor is a member of the fibroblast growth factor (FGF) family. Members of the FGF family possess broad mitogenic and cell survival activities and are involved in various biological processes, including embryonic development, cell growth, morphogenesis, tissue repair, tumor growth, and invasion. This protein acts as a regulator of endothelial cell migration and proliferation and is also a angiogenic factor. In vitro, it acts as a mitogen for various mesodermal and neuroectodermal cells and is therefore believed to be involved in organogenesis. Currently, three selectively spliced variants encoding different subtypes have been identified. Bound growth factors exhibit angiogenic effects in vivo and possess potent mitogenic activity on various cell types in vitro. These two growth factors differ in their tissue distribution and concentration. |
| Application | This product can be used for research on facilitating murine-specific cell culture models for tissue engineering research with mouse acidic FGF. |
