| Catalog Number | VGF-008 |
| Size | 100µg;1mg;10mg;100mg |
| Description | Vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF), also known as vascular permeability factor (VPF), is a key regulatory factor in fetal and adult angiogenesis and vascular development. VEGF is a glycosylated mitogen that acts specifically on endothelial cells, playing a role in enhancing vascular permeability, inducing angiogenesis and endothelial cell growth, promoting cell migration, and inhibiting apoptosis. Due to different splicing patterns of the mRNA, six protein forms of VEGF are produced: VEGF121, VEGF145, VEGF165, VEGF183, VEGF189, and VEGF206. VEGF165 is the primary gene product of VEGF in human tissues and is also the most important angiogenesis regulator in the VEGF family. |
| Application | This product can be used for research on promoting neovascularization and blood vessel formation in engineered tissues with human VEGF. |
