Description Stromal cell-derived factor-1 (SDF-1), also known as chemokine CXCL12, is a small-molecule cytokine belonging to the chemokine protein family. The chemokine CXCL12 exerts a strong chemotactic effect on lymphocytes and plays a crucial role in development. During embryonic development, CXCL12 guides the migration of hematopoietic stem cells from the fetal liver to the bone marrow. Mice with CXCL12 gene knockout often die in utero or within one hour of birth. SDF-1α/CXCL12a can also influence neuronal electrophysiology. CXCL12 is expressed in many tissues, including the brain, thymus, heart, lungs, liver, kidneys, bone marrow, and spleen.
Application This product can be used for research on promoting stem cell homing and engraftment in engineered tissue scaffolds with His-tagged human stromal derived factor.

Activity It induces the migration of umbilical cord mesenchymal stem cells. The Transwell culture method was used, and stem cell migration was finally quantitatively characterized by crystal violet staining.

Shelf Life 1 year
Note Add an appropriate amount of sterile distilled water to dissolve completely, and dilute to a concentration of 0.1-1 mg/mL. Allow the solution to stand at room temperature for 15-20 minutes to ensure complete dissolution.
The resuspended protein solution can be stored at 2-8°C for approximately 1 week, or aliquoted and stored at 20°C to -80°C for 3-6 months.
For long-term storage, to enhance protein stability, it is recommended to dissolve the protein in 0.1% BSA at a concentration of no less than 10 μg/mL and store at -20°C to -80°C. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
