| Catalog Number | PGF-004 |
| Size | 2µg;10µg;1mg |
| Description | The term “PDGF” refers to a class of disulfide-linked dimeric isoforms that function as autocrine and paracrine growth factors and are produced by various cell types other than platelets. They exert potent mitogenic effects on nearly all mesenchymal-derived cells. Abnormal expression is associated with certain cancers, fibroproliferative diseases, and atherosclerosis. The protein also contributes to wound healing and nerve regeneration. The PDGF family comprises four members: PDGF-A, PDGF-B, PDGF-C, and PDGF-D. PDGF-A exists in two distinct forms: a soluble short-chain form and a long-chain form that remains anchored in the extracellular matrix. |
| Application | This product can be used for research on promoting cell migration and proliferation in vascular tissue engineering with human PDGF-B. |
