Product Infomation
Product Name Recombinant Human Keratinocyte Growth Factor, His
Catalog Number OGF-003
Size 10μg;100μg;1mg
Description Keratinocyte Growth Factor (KGF), also known as Fibroblast Growth Factor 7 (FGF7) or Heparin-Binding Growth Factor-7 (HBGF-7), is a member of the family of 23 known fibroblast growth factors (FGFs). KGF was first isolated and purified by Rubin et al. (1980) from the culture medium of human fetal lung fibroblasts. The cDNA for human KGF encodes a single-chain polypeptide consisting of 194 amino acids, with a molecular weight of 26-28 kDa. KGF is secreted by mesenchymal cells from various sources and has a strong affinity for heparin. The KGF receptor (KGFR) belongs to the protein tyrosine kinase receptor family and is primarily distributed in epithelial cells. KGF is a specific mitogen that primarily acts on epithelial cells by signaling through FGFR2b. KGF primarily participates in the development of tissues and organs such as the kidneys and lungs, promotes cell proliferation and tissue repair, and plays a role in vascular regeneration and wound healing.
Application This product can be used for research on stimulating epithelial cell proliferation for skin and corneal regeneration using human KGF His-tag variant for controlled release.
Molecular Weight 20 kDa
Species Human
Source E.coli
Appearance White loose or powdery freeze-dried product
Purity > 95% by SDS-PAGE

Redissolution Dissolve with sterile water for injection or triple-distilled water.
Storage Store at -20°C.
Shelf Life 1 year
Note Add an appropriate amount of sterile distilled water to dissolve completely, and dilute to a concentration of 0.1-1 mg/mL. Allow the solution to stand at room temperature for 15-20 minutes to ensure complete dissolution.
The resuspended protein solution can be stored at 2-8°C for approximately 1 week, or aliquoted and stored at 20°C to -80°C for 3-6 months.
For long-term storage, to enhance protein stability, it is recommended to dissolve the protein in 0.1% BSA at a concentration of no less than 10 μg/mL and store at -20°C to -80°C. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
Please refer to the literature to determine the optimal working concentration, or determine and optimize the working concentration yourself based on the experimental purpose, specific cells, or animals.
For research use only. Not for use in diagnostics, as a drug, or in humans.
