Description Hepatocyte growth factor (HGF) is a multifunctional growth factor that regulates cell growth and migration. It exhibits strong mitogenic activity in hepatocytes and primary epithelial cells. HGF acts synergistically with interleukin-3 and granulocyte-macrophage colony-stimulating factor (GM-CSF) to stimulate colony formation in hematopoietic progenitor cells in vitro, and thus may also regulate the hematopoietic process.
Application This product can be used for research on promoting hepatocyte proliferation and liver regeneration in tissue engineering with human HGF.

Activity The activity of this compound was assessed using the MDCK cell scattering assay. The ED₅₀ value for this effect typically ranges from 2.0 to 5.0 ng/mL.
Redissolution It is recommended to reconstitute lyophilized hepatocyte growth factor with a 50 mM acetic acid solution to a concentration of at least 100 µg/mL. Subsequent dilutions should be performed using a protein-containing buffer.
Formulation Sterile protein powder (1 mg/mL) was lyophilized from a solution containing 50 mM acetic acid.
