| Catalog Number | FGF-006 |
| Size | 100µg;1mg;10mg;100mg |
| Description | Acidic Fibroblast Growth Factor (aFGF), also known as FGF1, belongs to the FGF family and participates in tissue repair. It exerts trophic and mitogenic effects on various cells of mesodermal and neuroectodermal origin, such as BALB/c 3T3 fibroblasts, capillary and endothelial cells, myoblasts, vascular smooth muscle cells, endothelial cells, glial and astrocytes, and adrenal cortical cells, among others, and possesses broad biological effects and potential clinical application value. The aFGF molecule contains a heparin-binding region; upon binding to heparin, aFGF can increase its activity toward certain cells, and a certain amount of heparin can enhance the stability of aFGF, preventing its denaturation by heat or extreme pH conditions and its hydrolysis by proteases. |
| Application | This product can be used for research on inducing angiogenesis and fibroblast proliferation for vascularized tissue constructs with human acidic FGF. |
