Description Epidermal Growth Factor (EGF) is a growth factor belonging to a protein family. The extracellular domain of proteins in this family contains at least one domain consisting of three disulfide bond pairs formed by six conserved cysteines (the EGF structural unit). EGF promotes the proliferation and differentiation of mesenchymal and epithelial cells. In vitro, EGF acts as a mitogen for fibroblasts, epithelial cells, and endothelial cells, and promotes colony formation in epithelial cell cultures. In vivo, EGF promotes the formation of epithelial cells and blood vessels and inhibits gastric acid secretion.
Application This product can be used for research on accelerating epithelialization and wound healing in bovine-derived skin substitutes utilizing His-tagged EGF for targeted delivery.

Note Add an appropriate amount of sterile distilled water to dissolve completely, and dilute to a concentration of 0.1-1 mg/mL. Allow the solution to stand at room temperature for 15-20 minutes to ensure complete dissolution.
The resuspended protein solution can be stored at 2-8°C for approximately 1 week, or aliquoted and stored at 20°C to -80°C for 3-6 months.
For long-term storage, to enhance protein stability, it is recommended to dissolve the protein in 0.1% BSA at a concentration of no less than 10 μg/mL and store at -20°C to -80°C. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
