Description	Protein L Magnetic Beads are 200 nm magnetic nanoparticles covalently coupled with Protein L. Their nanoscale size delivers a large specific surface area, offering increased binding capacity, reduced bead usage, and low non-specific adsorption. Recombinant Protein L, a 36 kDa protein isolated from Peptostreptococcus magnus, binds specifically to the kappa light chain of immunoglobulins without interfering with antigen recognition. Unlike Protein A and Protein G, which interact with the antibody Fc region, Protein L binds antibodies via light-chain interactions. It recognizes a wider range of antibody classes, including IgG, IgM, IgA, IgE, and IgD, as well as scFv and Fab fragments. Protein L binds immunoglobulins from human, mouse, rat, rabbit, and chicken samples but does not bind those from bovine, goat, or sheep.
Applications	For immunoprecipitation (IP) or co-immunoprecipitation (Co-IP) of antigens in samples such as cell lysates, cell culture supernatants, serum, and ascites.
