| Description | Silica magnetic beads with hydroxyl modification are specifically engineered for the extraction and purification of nucleic acids. Abundant silanol (hydroxyl) groups are modified on their surface, allowing them to specifically combine with nucleic acids in solution via hydrophobic interactions, hydrogen bonding, and electrostatic interactions under high-salt and low-pH conditions, while not interacting with other impurities such as proteins. They enable rapid separation of nucleic acids from biological samples with safe and easy operation, which is very favorable for automated and high-throughput nucleic acid extraction. |
