| Product Name | NHS Magnetic Beads, 2 μm |
| Catalog Number | MGB-IP-029 |
| Size | 50 mL |
| Physical Specs | 2 μm |
| Description | NHS-activated magnetic beads feature surface NHS groups that form stable amide linkages with primary amine-containing proteins and molecules, facilitating affinity purification of antibodies, antigens, and other biomolecules. No pre-activation with EDC/NHS or glutaraldehyde is needed. Ligands are dissolved in the supplied coupling buffer and incubated with beads for 1-2 hours at room temperature for rapid, mild, and efficient conjugation. All procedures require amine-free buffers; magnetic separation is performed manually with a magnetic rack or automated for high-throughput applications. |
| Applications | Suitable for covalent coupling of protein, antibody, enzyme, polypeptide, nucleic acid and other biological molecules containing primary amine groups. |
| Features | No activation is required; direct covalent conjugation with biomolecular ligands is possible; highly efficient, with biomolecular ligand conjugation yields exceeding 90%, significantly higher than those of carboxyl-functionalized magnetic beads, while also offering higher ligand loading capacity; biomolecular ligand conjugation can be completed in 1-2 hours; mild conditions—conjugation at room temperature or 4°C with a conjugation system pH of 5-9; forms stable amide bonds to prevent ligand detachment; Excellent biocompatibility, reducing nonspecific adsorption. |
