| Product Name | Multi-channel Step-Structure Parallel High-throughput Microdroplet Generation Microfluidic Chip |
| Catalog Number | MC-SPC-004 |
| Physical Specs | PDMS chip: 62*19*2 mm; B270 glass: 75*25*2 mm |
| Description | This product is a high-throughput (188-channel) step-structure parallel microdroplet generation chip. As the dispersed phase passes over the steps within the chip, microdroplets are generated due to a sudden decrease in Laplace force. The microdroplet generation throughput of this chip is 20 times that of a single flow-focusing chip, and the resulting droplet size is less affected by fluctuations in pressure and flow rate. Our high-throughput microdroplet generation chip is produced by covalently bonding a perforated glass substrate with a PDMS chip featuring micron-scale flow channels. The chip’s flow channel surfaces are modified with a special hydrophobic coating to ensure stable microdroplet generation. |
| Applications | Used for the preparation of oil-in-water microdroplets, it can be used to prepare oil-in-water microdroplets/microspheres with diameters of 80-110 μm. This includes the preparation of sodium alginate hydrogel microspheres for 3D cell culture or for encapsulating protein and peptide drugs; the preparation of chitosan hydrogel microspheres; the preparation of GelMa hydrogel microspheres; preparation of polyacrylamide hydrogel beads for single-cell sequencing; and preparation of hyaluronic acid hydrogel microspheres for cartilage repair. |
| Features | High throughput, up to 1 mL/min; enables rapid connection and switching between tubing and chips High throughput, up to 1 mL/min (when used with the PDMS standard microdroplet chip holder); easy to observe under a microscope; stable microdroplet generation; Non-toxic and excellent biocompatibility; good light transmittance and high permeability to gases (oxygen, carbon dioxide, etc.); low cost. |
