| Description | MAN-LNP@siRNA is a gene delivery system developed based on lipid nanoparticle technology. As a carrier, lipid nanoparticles (LNP) have good biocompatibility, low immunity and high drug loading efficiency. They can effectively encapsulate siRNA and protect it from degradation by nucleases in the body. Mannose (MAN) modifies lipid nanoparticles, allowing the system to specifically recognize mannose receptors on the cell surface, achieving targeted delivery to specific cells or tissues, and improving the enrichment efficiency of siRNA in target cells. Small interfering RNA (siRNA) can specifically bind and degrade target mRNA through the RNA interference (RNAi) mechanism, thereby inhibiting the expression of specific genes. This design that combines targeting and gene silencing functions makes MAN-LNP@siRNA promising in fields such as gene treatment and disease mechanism research. |
