Description The chip features a dual-layer barrier structure: the upper layer consists of three parallel microchambers, while the lower layer is connected via microchannels. A porous membrane in between precisely mimics the physiological structure of in vivo tissue barriers to create a microenvironment for substance exchange. By separating different cell layers into independent chambers, the chip supports co-culture of epithelial and endothelial cells as well as research on trans-barrier substance transport. It is compatible with in situ imaging and biochemical assays, making it a core in vitro tool for barrier physiology research and drug delivery development.
Applications Recreates intestinal mucosal microenvironments to support intestinal barrier function analysis, microbial interaction studies and intestinal drug metabolism testing.
