| Description | Hepatitis A virus (HAV) is a non‑enveloped, hepatotropic positive‑sense RNA virus. HAV is primarily transmitted via the fecal‑oral route, with contaminated water and food—especially aquatic shellfish such as blood clams—serving as major vehicles for hepatitis A outbreaks and epidemics. HAV infection is highly contagious and represents a leading cause of acute viral hepatitis, with clinical presentations ranging from mild jaundice and hepatic inflammation to fulminant acute liver failure. The magnetic beads in this product are covalently conjugated with mouse anti‑HAV monoclonal antibodies, enabling efficient, rapid, and specific isolation and concentration of HAV particles. Samples are incubated with antibody‑immobilized magnetic beads; after magnetic separation, the enriched viral preparations can be used in downstream detection techniques including immunochromatography, ELISA, PCR, biosensing systems, and high‑throughput gene sequencing. |
