Description	Epoxy-functionalized magnetic microspheres enable immobilization of various amine- and thiol-containing ligands. High-density epoxy groups on the bead surface support covalent conjugation of proteins, peptides, and nucleic acids. Coupling of hydroxyl-, amine-, and thiol-containing ligands occurs at pH 11-13, pH >9, and pH 7.5-8.5, respectively. Water-insoluble ligands may be conjugated in 50% organic solvent (dimethylformamide).
