DOTAP (1,2-dioleoyl-3-trimethylammonium propane) liposomes are modified with a polypeptide (VHPKOHRGGSKGC) of a specific sequence to encapsulate RNA. The peptide (VHPKOHRGGSKGC) has special functions. VHPKQHRGGSKGC can specifically recognize and bind to Blood vessels cell adhesion molecule-1 (VCAM-1). The peptides in this product also have specific targeting or function enhancement effects. As a carrier, the positively charged nature of DOTAP liposomes helps to combine with negatively charged RNA through electrostatic interaction to achieve efficient encapsulation. The liposome structure can protect RNA from degradation by external nucleases and extend its existence time in and outside the body. Modified liposomes can change their surface properties, such as enhancing targeting, prolonging circulation time, etc., improving the delivery efficiency of RNA, allowing it to reach the target site more accurately and exert its effect. |
