Description	DOTAP-DC-Cholesterol Cationic Liposomes is a complex cationic liposome system with high transfection efficiency. It is composed of two cationic lipids, DOTAP and DC-cholesterol (3β-[N-(N’,N’-Dimethylaminoethane)-carbamoyl]-Cholesterol) in a specific ratio with auxiliary phospholipids (such as DOPE). DOTAP provides stable positive charge and nucleic acid condensation ability, while DC-cholesterol not only provides positive charge, but its cholesterol skeleton can enhance the stability of lipid membranes and cell fusion ability. The synergistic effect of the two can improve the nucleic acid delivery efficiency to a variety of cell types (especially difficult-to-transfect cells) under the premise of low cell Tox.
