Description DMTAP-DOPE cationic lipid nanoparticles are moderate phase-transition temperature gene delivery systems using the saturated C14 cationic lipid DMTAP combined with DOPE. The shorter saturated chains provide lower cytotoxicity compared to longer-chain cationic lipids while maintaining nucleic acid binding capacity. Used for gene delivery in primary cells and long-term cell culture studies.
