| Size | 0.5 mL, 1 mL, 5 mL |
| Physical Specs | 300 nm |
| Description | Concanavalin A (Con A) is a plant lectin with a molecular weight of approximately 102 kDa, composed of four identical subunits, existing as active dimers or tetramers under different pH conditions. Its core function is to recognize and bind α-D-glucose, α-D-mannose at positions C-3, C-4, and C-6 on glycoproteins/glycolipids, as well as terminal glucose residues of proteins and peptides. Con A binding is metal ion-mediated, requiring Ca²⁺ and Mg²⁺ for conformational stability; EDTA or other metal chelators abolish receptor binding, making Con A magnetic beads suitable for receptor isolation and purification. |
| Applications | It is used for marking and separating various biological molecules or cells containing mannitol and glucose residues, such as sugars, glycoproteins, glycolipids, etc., as well as for immobilizing cells in the CUT&Tag method. |
| Features | Suitable for cytoplasmic membrane separation, glycoprotein enrichment, and the separation of fixed cells; cell precipitation efficiency exceeds 95%. |
