Description	Clophosome-A (Anionic) Control Liposomes are special negative controls for clodronate liposome (Clophosome) experiments. They use exactly the same lipid composition, preparation process and physical and chemical properties (including particle size, surface charge and concentration) as active Clophosome products. The only difference is that the internal aqueous phase does not contain clodronate active drug and is filled with isotonic phosphate buffer saline (PBS). This design ensures that the control liposomes have exactly the same biodistribution, cellular uptake, and metabolic behavior as the active formulation in both in vitro and in vivo experiments, allowing accurate differentiation of macrophage-depleting effects of clodronate itself from nonspecific effects that may be caused by the liposomal vehicle.
