Description	EpCAM is a calcium-independent adhesion molecule that regulates adhesion between homologous cells and inhibits cell migration. EpCAM can also weaken the adhesion mediated by E-cadherin by disrupting the connection between α-catenin and F-actin. The binding of EpCAM to tight junction-related protein - claudin can interfere with the adhesion between homologous cells mediated by EpCAM, promoting cell migration, proliferation, tumor formation and metastasis. CD326 (EpCAM)+ Cell Sorting Beads are immunomagnetic beads for specific enrichment of EpCAM-positive epithelial cells and circulating tumor cells (CTCs) from human samples, aiding cancer research and liquid biopsy applications.
Applications	For the positive selection or removal of epithelial cells or epithelial tumor cells from single-cell preparations derived from tissues and organs.
