Description	CD144, also known as VE-cadherin or cadherin-5, is a member of the cadherin family of calcium-dependent adhesion molecules. This antigen is expressed on endothelial cells both in vivo and in vitro, and has been used for the isolation of embryonic stem cells and the induction of pluripotent stem cell-derived endothelial cells. It is known that CD144 is involved in homotypic cell interactions, contributing to the cohesion of endothelial cell connections and tissue formation, and is believed to play a role in vascular permeability and remodeling. CD144 (VE-Cadherin)+ Cell Sorting Beads enable specific magnetic isolation of CD144-positive vascular endothelial cells from human samples, supporting research in angiogenesis and vascular biology.
