Applications	Metal nano-lubricant additives: Adding 0.1–0.5% nano-bismuth powder to grease forms a self-lubricating, self-healing film on the surfaces of friction pairs during friction, significantly improving grease performance; Metallurgical additives: Nanoscale bismuth powder can be used as an additive in cast iron, steel, and aluminum alloys to improve the alloys’ machinability; Magnetic materials: Bismuth has a very small thermal neutron absorption cross-section, a low melting point, and a high boiling point, making it suitable as a heat transfer medium in nuclear reactors.
