Description Coaxial capillary droplet chips, also known as 3D coaxial droplet chips, are widely used in droplet encapsulation research because glass capillaries are easy to modify prior to coaxial assembly. Coaxial capillary droplet chips consist of circular capillaries, square capillaries, a substrate, and liquid inlet connectors. Circular capillaries, square capillaries, and liquid adapters are mounted on the substrate. Two or more circular capillaries are arranged coaxially within a single square capillary, spaced at specific intervals.
Applications Preparation of cross-linked hydrogel microspheres, such as sodium alginate, chitosan, and GELMA microspheres cross-linked via photochemical, thermal, or ionic cross-linking; phase-separated polymer microspheres (e.g., polycaprolactone drug-loaded microspheres prepared in an O/W system); In-situ polymer microspheres (e.g., photocrosslinking of styrene monomers); various functional microspheres, such as high-porosity graphene microspheres; and various emulsions.
