| Product Name | 200 nm Homogeneous Photoresponsive Microspheres |
| Catalog Number | FLM-CM-001 |
| Physical Specs | 200 nm |
| Description | Luminescent oxygen channeling immunoassay (LOCI), as a type of homogeneous chemiluminescent immunoassay, offers the advantages of high sensitivity, high throughput, and a wide dynamic range. In recent years, it has found widespread application in disease diagnosis, high-throughput screening, and food safety. Polystyrene microspheres have garnered significant attention due to their excellent surface properties and good chemical stability, and are commonly used as solid-phase carriers in LOCI. Our homogeneous chemiluminescent microspheres consist of two types of microspheres: photosensitive microspheres and luminescent microspheres. These two types of microspheres are brought into close proximity through antigen-antibody-specific binding. Upon excitation by a 680 nm laser, the photosensitive microspheres generate singlet oxygen. Luminescent microspheres within a 200 nm range accept the singlet oxygen to initiate a chemiluminescent reaction, producing a specific fluorescent signal. The intensity of this fluorescent signal is directly proportional to the concentration of the analyte, enabling homogeneous luminescent quantitative detection. |
| Applications | This product supports tumor marker detection, including Alpha-Fetoprotein (AFP) and Carcinoembryonic Antigen (CEA), facilitating early cancer screening and disease progression monitoring. It enables detection of pathogen antigens and antibodies associated with hepatitis B, hepatitis C, HIV, and other infectious agents, providing strong support for epidemiological control. It also aids in the diagnosis of endocrine disorders related to thyroid function and reproductive hormones. In basic medical research and drug development, it enables cytokine quantification, protein-protein interaction analysis, and drug target screening, delivering precise and reliable tools for scientific investigators. It supports rapid detection of pesticide residues, veterinary drug residues, and mycotoxins in food to ensure food safety and protect public health. It also detects heavy metal ions and organic pollutants in environmental water samples, playing a critical role in environmental monitoring and remediation. |
| Features | The nanoscale size and large specific surface area of homogeneous chemiluminescent microspheres significantly increase the probability of binding to target molecules, enabling the detection of trace substances as low as the pg/mL range. This makes them suitable for applications requiring extremely high sensitivity, such as early-stage tumor marker screening and trace detection of pathogens. The homogeneous reaction system eliminates the need for cumbersome separation steps, simplifying the testing process and significantly reducing testing time. Routine tests can be completed within 15-30 minutes, significantly improving testing efficiency, making them particularly suitable for emergency testing and large-scale screening. The use of specialized manufacturing processes and materials ensures that the microspheres maintain stable structure and performance under various environmental conditions, such as different temperatures and pH levels, effectively reducing testing errors and coefficient of variation to guarantee the reliability of results. The system is compatible with various testing platforms, such as fully automated chemiluminescent immunoassay analyzers and microplate luminescence readers, and is suitable for different sample types, including serum, plasma, urine, and saliva. It meets the diverse needs of multiple fields, such as clinical diagnosis, scientific research, food safety testing, and environmental monitoring. |
