| Product Name | 2-component Droplet Generation Glass Chip |
| Catalog Number | MC-SPC-013 |
| Physical Specs | 22.5*15.0*4.0 mm |
| Description | The two-component droplet generation chip is a glass microfluidic chip designed to generate multinucleated emulsion droplets. Compared to conventional droplet generation chips, this chip offers faster droplet generation rates and higher droplet size uniformity. Users can adjust the flow rates of the outer, intermediate, and inner fluids to utilize the shear forces between fluids, along with the interactions between fluid viscosity and surface tension, to create a velocity gradient in the dispersed phase under the influence of the continuous phase. This process shears the dispersed phase into microdroplets, The resulting microemulsion droplets are uniformly distributed within the continuous phase. This chip achieves localized modification of a standard glass chip. The modified two-component droplet generation chip is used to prepare multi-core emulsion droplets, featuring significant modification effects and simple operation. Its advantages include the ability to control batch droplet generation, uniform and stable droplets, and a simple experimental setup. |
| Applications | Used to achieve multinucleated emulsion droplet generation. |
| Features | The channel surface is smooth; it offers a wide range of temperature and pressure tolerance; it exhibits excellent chemical stability and biocompatibility; it has good optical properties; droplet generation is more stable and uniform; it allows for a wider range of controllable droplet sizes, facilitating the generation of droplets significantly smaller than the channel dimensions; it is compatible with chip fixtures, enabling quick connection, disassembly, and droplet collection; it is compact and highly portable. |
