The mould test is to detect the ability of the product to resist mould and the conditions that are beneficial to the growth of mould (that is, in a high-humidity and warm environment and in the presence of inorganic salts), whether the equipment is harmfully affected by mould. Generally, there are many types of moulds, and the detection can be carried out according to the mould types specified in the standard. The mould types can also be selected according to the detection products.

• The moulds commonly used in textile mould prevention are:
Aspergillus niger, Chaetomium globosum, Penicillium cordatum, Trichoderma viride.

• Common moulds for plates and plastics are:
Aspergillus niger, Chaetomium globosum, Aspergillus flavus, Paecilomyces variotii, Penicillium ochreum, Penicillium cordatum, Gliocladium viridis, Aureobasidium pullulans.

• The moulds commonly used for rubber mould prevention are:

• Common moulds for leather mould prevention are:

Mould test result evaluation
After the fungus test, record the fungus growth site, coverage area, color, growth pattern, growth density and growth thickness. After the mould test, the rating are as follows:

Level 1: trace growth. mould growth and reproduction are scarce or limited. The growth range is less than 10% of the total area of the test sample, and the matrix is rarely used or damaged. Almost no chemical, physical and structural changes were found.

Level 2: slight growth. The colonies of mould s spread intermittently or loosely on the surface of the substrate, and the mould growth accounted for less than 30% of the total area, and reproduced in moderate amounts.

Level 3: medium growth. The mould grows and reproduces in a large amount, accounting for less than 70% of the total area, and the surface of the substrate shows chemical, physical and structural changes.

Level 4: serious growth. A large number of mould s grow and reproduce, accounting for more than 70% of the total area, and the substrate is decomposed or rapidly deteriorated and deteriorated.
