Introduction | Carboxymethyl chitosan (CMCS) is a chitosan derivative after carboxymethylation of chitosan. According to the different positions of carboxymethyl substitution, it can be divided into O-carboxymethyl, N-carboxymethyl and O, N-carboxymethyl chitosan. While preserving the good properties of chitosan itself, it greatly improves the water solubility, antibacterial and antioxidant properties of chitosan under neutral and alkaline conditions. The CMCS molecular chain contains abundant -OH, -COOH and -NH2, and more active groups can be introduced through chemical modification. It has a wide range of applications in promoting wound healing, postoperative anti-adhesion, drug delivery, targeted drug delivery, gene therapy, biosensors, etc. Methacrylylated carboxymethyl chitosan (CMCSMA) is a CMCS molecular chain that introduces methacrylic groups to give it photocuring ability. The material system based on CMCSMA can be applied to a variety of biomedical research fields such as wound repair and drug controlled release. The CMCSMA product launched by our team has passed strict raw material screening and quality testing, and has stable physical and chemical properties. It solidifies into gel within 10 seconds under visible light irradiation, has good biocompatibility, strong material scalability, and can provide a variety of viscoelastic properties to adapt to different application fields. CMCSMA can be used with our GelMA, AlgMA, HAMA and other hydrogels to better simulate the microenvironment in the body and obtain a better cell 3D culture solution. |
