Introduction | Chitosan (CS) is a positively charged polysaccharide deacetylated from chitin. Its molecule is composed of randomly distributed D-glucosamine and N-acetylglucosamine structural units connected by α-1,4 glycosidic bonds. CS and its derivatives have good biocompatibility, antibacterial and degradable properties, and have been widely used in biological tissue engineering, pharmaceutical development and other fields. Methacrylylated chitosan (CSMA) is a product that introduces methacrylic groups into the chitosan molecular chain to give it photocuring ability. Our team has launched CSMA products, which have stable physical and chemical properties through strict raw material screening and quality testing. It solidifies into gel within 10 seconds under visible light irradiation, has good biocompatibility, strong material scalability, and can provide a variety of viscoelastic properties to adapt to different application fields. CSMA can be used with hydrogels such as GelMA and HAMA to better simulate the microenvironment of in vivo tissues such as bone, cartilage, and skin, and obtain better cell 3D culture and bio-ink formulations. |
